WapCoMail PRO - Sending Email
Posted by: Jayesh on: 02/11/2008 3:23pm
Perfect.Nice.Great. It is working without any problem as far as reading
the mail is concerned (I have downloaded various script from Hotscripts but non worked except wappop[Sanisoft]).Only problem is while sending the mail (new or reply). It shows message that message is sent but actually message is never sent.My Email sever require authentication for sending Emails. There is option of PHPMailer or Swift mailer but both are "html" based. So can you help me (by providing tips) to Authenticate the SMTP Server for sedning new mail or reply. For your reference My linux sever have following settings :

PHP Version 4.4.7
SMTP
IMAP c-Client Version - 2004

Thanks.
Best Regards.

Hello,

I can't do something because I don't understand this "authentication".

WapCoMail use mail() function from php to send e-mails.
This function is like in any *NIX S.O., where you have mail command.

For example, on my server (Fedora Core 7), I can send you e-mail from command prompt with mail() command.

In php, mail() function is described at: [link=http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.mail.php]http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.mail.php[/link\]\.

Will you please to tell me more about this "authentication" ?

Witch is your mailer daemon ?

I will test WapCoMail on my laptop, on Ubuntu 7.10, because in Fedora Core work great.

Thank you,
Constantin Iancu

Thanks for your Timely Reply. And sorry for that I am replying so late.

"Authentication" means My server requires :

Server name :
Port (number)
User Name(i.e my full email address : "user@mydomain.com")
Password :

I have to provide this details to script then & than only password is sent.

My server is using "sendmail" protocols for sending mail.
